To whom it may concern,

Re: INNO-THERM insulation installation at Abneylow.

There was a particular insulation problem at this property, concerning the protection of the water supply, in particular, against frost. The water is pumped from a private source, to a 100 gallon header tank, which is situated in the roof space at the top of the house. The roof is not insulated, but is covered with stone slates over a waterproof breathable membrane. Because of considerable physical difficulties in gaining access to the tank, the “conventional” glass wool material was not considered a safe option from an installation perspective. On learning of the new INNO-THERM material, I asked David Garlovsky, of Recovery Insulation Ltd for a chance to trial this product in a practical project.

During the course of about an hours work overall, including measuring & cutting the material, the task was completed. It was a pleasure to work with. The texture is comfortable and amenable to cutting to shape with a large pair of household scissors. The thickness of the sample supplied is thought sufficient to give the equivalent insulation value of at least one standard thickness of the glass wool. The sections are held in place with a plastic twine.

I have no hesitation in saying that, I cannot imagine a better material for the majority of housing thermal [possibly acoustic?] insulation requirements. Apart from the need to ascertain the thickness necessary for the task, its installation requires the minimum of skill & no special precautions during the process.

Yours sincerely

Jonathan Clennell
